I was pleased to be welcomed into the Silo Hotel Cape Town for my first night’s stay. The Silo is known for celebrating unique style, design, and art. This stunning resort offers panoramic views towering over V&A Waterfront. From the moment you step through the doors, you are surrounded by opulence and elegance. The lobby is filled with colorful plush furniture, light fixtures and a fresh aroma. As you make your way through the hotel you can't help but feel a sense of admiration. This architectural delight allows for views of Table Mountain to Table Bay Harbour. Each entry level room exudes the color scheme and collection of African art and culture and has a private balcony with an incredible view.  

Diving right into dining, you can't forget about the extraordinary cuisine right at your fingertips at the Silo. Dining plus a view of the beautiful city of Cape Town? Count me in. The dining experiences here are cultivated by Executive Chef Veronica Canha-Hibbert and her talented team. The unique blend of flavors and ingredients from all over the world made each dish one of a kind. From the delicious cuisine to the hand-crafted cocktails my overall dining experience was divine. 

Being a part of the Micato Safari Itinerary I was given the pleasure to experience all the natural beauty of Cape Town and more, including Table Top Mountain, Cape Peninsula National Park and Cape point. These are some of the most desirable places to enjoy your time. Table Top Mountain is a sandstone plateau rising above Cape Flats. This mountain is home to over 1470 species. This is where I got to experience a cable car ride of the lovely city views to the summit. 

Cape Peninsula State Park is filled with low hills, walking trails, and beautiful wide beaches. Cape Point viewing platform looks out to False Bay and the Hottentots Holland Mountains which provides a breathtaking view and sense of tranquility. After strolling this area, we got to head over to the home of 3,000 fascinating African penguins. These birds can be observed at a very close distance providing an optimal viewing experience. Other beautiful destinations in Africa we checked out were the Mont Rochelle Hotel, the Cape Winelands, Franschhoek, and luxurious dining throughout the whole journey. 

The newly renovated Mont Rochelle Hotel is located in the Franschhoek Valley of South Africa’s Cape Winelands. The cozy rooms are filled with plenty of luxury amenities such as underfloor heating, landscaped gardens and a beautiful vineyard. Cape Winelands is known for its gourmet dining paired with the finest wines of South Africa.

Some of the most beautiful and plentiful countryside in the world awaits you in the Cape Winelands. I got to experience colorful vineyards, peaceful greenery and charming cobblestone villages. Life in the Cape Winelands is almost slower than the rest of the world and allows for a sense of relaxation. Leisurely spending the day doing as little or as much as you desire was definitely a perk.

Straight from the winery to the wilderness. One of the most breathtaking adventures was the Sabi Private Game Reserve. The boundless wildlife of the private reserve was ours alone. We had the chance to get up close with all the jungle has to offer with free rein of viewing animals. We got to capture the big 5 game including the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and African buffalo. The whole safari was catered to luxury and personalized attention for our amazing, professional guides. 

The sights, sounds and experiences that Micato has to offer are truly ones that will never be forgotten. From the moment you arrive being surrounded by such a beautiful landscape to the moment of your last night being able to relax and listen to the sounds of nature.
